On 21 April, Stephen Batchelor and Bhikkhu Santi will engage in a conversation on Stephen's forthcoming book, Buddha, Socrates and Us; the meanings of monasticism from a science-informed and politics-alert viewpoint; writing and the creative life; and the value of ancient wisdom for our contemporary moment.
The in-person event will be held from 4 to 5:30 pm at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut at the Humanities Quadrangle LO2. To register (tickets are free), click here.
The Secular Buddhist Network is one of the organizations sponsoring the conversation, along with Tricycle magazine, the Franke Program in Science and the Humanities, Yale Buddhist Life, the Poynter Fellowship in Journalism, and the Good Life Center.
