Secular Buddhist Network's free online course, Exploring a Secular Dharma, will run from September 15 to November 17, 2025. The course explores the key ideas and practices of secular Buddhism, an important trend that has emerged in Buddhism in recent years.
Course Calendar and Schedule - Fall 2025
Module 1: Introduction to secular Buddhism (September 15 - September 29)
Module 2: The heart of secular Buddhism – the four tasks (September 30 - October 13)
Module 3: A secular eightfold path (October 14 - October 27)
Module 4: The role of meditation in a secular dharma path (October 28 - November 10)
Module 5: A flourishing life for all (November 11 - November 24)
Zoom meetings with the instructors will occur on the last scheduled day for each module.

The instructor for the Spring 2025 course is Mike Slott.

Mike is a part-time lecturer in labor history at Rutgers University in New Jersey, USA. A long-time political and labor movement activist, he is the editor of the Secular Buddhist Network website and its monthly newsletter, Rethinking Dharma/Reimagining Community.
